Annual Early Childhood Conference

    Collier Child Care Resources, Inc. has an Annual Early Childhood Conference to further educate early learning professionals, parents, and our community.

     This was our fourth annual conference and was very successful. Some of our participants said, “ I like the hands on workshops and make-n-takes.” “Very well done conference.” This year’s focus was on Conscious Discipline and working with the special need’s population. This practice finds ways to connect with all children, especially the most difficult. Conscious Discipline is a lifelong journey, not a technique. It is an educational process of helping adults and children become aware of their internal states, their actions and the consequences of their choices. The skills learned for understanding and dealing with aggression made this conference one of the most important the community had ever attended.
