The Apple Blossom Awards honor early childhood teachers who educate and care for children birth to age five. Three “Teacher of the Year” Award recipients will be named at the annual Apple Blossom Awards Luncheon, held on Saturday, April 13th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Naples. In addition to the awards ceremony, the event includes lunch and a key note address by a guest speaker. Tickets to the event are $40. Collier Child Care Resources is now accepting early childhood teacher nominations for the 2019 Apple Blossom Awards. A link to printable application packet is below, which includes both the nomination form and teacher’s application. All childcare centers in Collier, Lee and Hendry Counties will also receive the nomination packets by mail in early December. Center Directors, parents, and colleagues are encouraged to nominate an amazing teacher.
To nominate a teacher, inform the Center Director who you wish to nominate, and they will start the process for you! All nominees will be observed in the classroom by members of the Apple Blossom Awards Committee and are evaluated on C.L.A.S.S. based criteria. Nomination packets will be accepted now until February 1st, 2019 at 5pm.
